James M. Andry, M.D.

Dr. James Andry, founder and medical director of the Sleep Therapy & Research Center, is a lifelong resident of San Antonio. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 1982 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Affiliated Hospitals in Houston. He also completed fellowships in Pulmonary Medicine and clinical care medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Andry is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty certification in Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Andry has held numerous medical directorships and chairmanships at local hospitals in pulmonary medicine, respiratory therapy, intensive care and hyperbarics/wound care. He is currently a clinical faculty member at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Allied Health. In addition, Dr. Andry is the founder and director of the Texas School of Sleep Medicine & Technology and was the charter president of the Texas Society of Sleep Professionals.

Carlos R. Orozco, M.D.

Dr. Carlos Orozco joined the Sleep Therapy & Research Center in 20xx. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston in 1974 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University’s Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Orozco then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio.
Dr. Orozco is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty certification in Pulmonary Diseases. In addition, he is board eligible in Sleep Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Prior to joining the Sleep Therapy & Research Center, Dr. Orozco was in private practice in pulmonary disease and critical care for 28 years. He is currently the Medical Director of Respiratory Care at Nix Memorial Hospital and the Medical Director of Pulmonary Rehab for Total Therapeutics, Inc.

Nagwa N. Lamaie, M.D.
Dr. Nagwa Lamaie joined the Sleep Therapy & Research Center in 2008. She received her medical degree from Cairo University’s Kasr Alainy Medical School in 1997 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Lamaie is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, as well as by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Lamaie is actively involved in educating primary care providers about the correlation between co-existing sleep-related disorders and other medical conditions commonly encountered in primary care.

Patti Gilbert, PhD, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Patti Gilbert received her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston in 1995 and completed her post-doctoral residency at Deer Oaks Mental Health Associates in San Antonio. Following her residency, she assumed the role of Clinical Manager at Deer Oaks and helped open a new outpatient office. In 1997, Dr. Gilbert went into private practice and joined the staff of the Sleep Therapy & Research Center in 2008.
